Gian Piero Gasperini wanted to bring 19-year-old Italian midfielder Alessio Cacciamani to Roma, and the Torino player was a long-term focus for the Giallorossi during the summer, but negotiations were unsuccessful. This was not enough to meet the 20 million euros that Urbano Cairo considered necessary to sell a player he viewed as one of the most interesting talents from the club's youth system. As a result, Torino resisted the sale and kept Cacciamani, recently renewing his contract until 2031 that included a salary adjustment. Cacciamani, who joined Torino in July 2025, has not yet been capped by Italy and has a current market value of €4.50m, according to Transfermarkt.
