Gian Piero Gasperini wanted to bring 19-year-old Italian midfielder Alessio Cacciamani to Roma, and the Torino player was a long-term focus for the Giallorossi during the summer, but negotiations were unsuccessful. According to Tuttosport, Roma presented several proposals, ultimately offering 12 million euros plus bonuses. This was not enough to meet the 20 million euros that Urbano Cairo considered necessary to sell a player he viewed as one of the most interesting talents from the club's youth system. As a result, Torino resisted the sale and kept Cacciamani, recently renewing his contract until 2031 that included a salary adjustment. Cacciamani, who joined Torino in July 2025, has not yet been capped by Italy and has a current market value of €4.50m, according to Transfermarkt.
