According to CalcioMercato, Venezia has officially announced the arrival of Alejandro Gomes Furtado from Real Saragozza. The transfer is permanent, and the defender was born in 2008.

Venezia, newly promoted to Serie A, has a concrete interest in Alejandro Gomes, an 18-year-old Spanish central defender from Real Saragozza. Real Saragozza did not receive a formal offer because the amount proposed by Venezia was considered below the expectations of the club from Aragón. The situation is further complicated by reports that Gomes has more attractive offers from clubs in other European leagues. Lalo Arantegui, the sporting director of Real Saragozza, stated in a press conference that Gomes has an active contract and that the club has been trying to renew and update it for three months. Arantegui affirmed that the club will not part with any players on unfavorable terms and expects Gomes to report for the first day of training. Gomes, who has two caps for Spain's U19 team, made 13 appearances in LaLiga2 during the 2025/2026 season and has a current market value of €500k, according to Transfermarkt.
