Alberto Moleiro Transfer from Villarreal to Arsenal
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta highly regards Villarreal attacking midfielder Alberto Moleiro and might make a move for him this January. Arsenal have admired Moleiro for a long time, and Arteta is keen to make another significant investment in his squad this January because of concerns about injuries and the busy fixture schedule. According to industry sources, the possibility of a move in January is realistic, even though Villarreal do not wish to sell Moleiro so soon after his signing. One source stated that Arsenal have been observing Moleiro for some time and consider him a long-term target, but that there is now a feeling they might accelerate their plans to January because of the number of injuries they have sustained. Another source added that Mikel Arteta has a high opinion of Moleiro and is aware of Arsenal's upcoming busy schedule, describing the matter as a situation to be monitored this January. The Spain Under-21 international has a potential cost of at least €35m.
Mikel Arteta has reportedly been very impressed by Villarreal's Spanish winger Alberto Moleiro. According to the Spanish publication Fichajes, the Arsenal manager has identified the 22-year-old as an ideal candidate to strengthen his squad. Moleiro joined Villarreal from Las Palmas for €16m in July, and his Estimated Transfer Value has since increased to over €26m following a strong start that includes six goals and two assists in 14 La Liga games. Arsenal, who are said to be seeking further reinforcements next year, have reportedly added him to their list of transfer targets. Villarreal are understood to be aware of the growing interest in the Spain U21 international, who is under contract until 2030, but would prefer to keep the player until at least next summer before considering a sale.
