Both FC København and FC Midtjylland have expressed initial interest in Albert Grønbæk, although this has not yet resulted in concrete negotiations. The 24-year-old offensive player is looking to move after an unsuccessful loan spell at Genoa from his parent club Rennes, where he has made only four Serie A appearances totaling 102 minutes. Should the Danish clubs proceed with serious talks, they will face competition from interested parties in the Netherlands, France, and Italy. Rennes, which owns Grønbæk, purchased him from Bodø Glimt in the summer of 2024 before loaning him to Genoa for one year. This followed a brief period at the French club which also included a loan to Southampton where he was injured and had little game time. Grønbæk's contract with Rennes is valid until the summer of 2029.
