FC Midtjylland is reportedly close to signing 27-year-old South Korean attacking midfielder Hyun-seok Hong from Mainz, where he has been under contract since August 2024. The South Korea international has 16 caps for his country and a contract with the German club until 2028. His current market value is €2.50m, according to Transfermarkt. Mainz originally signed him for a fee reported to be €4.0 million. Hertha BSC has also been mentioned in connection with the player.
