According to Bold.dk, Hyun-seok Hong has joined FC Midtjylland from Mainz on loan.

Mainz 05 is loaning Hyun-seok Hong to FC Midtjylland, a Danish top-tier club and Conference League participant. Sport director Niko Bungert stated that Hong had shown great commitment and top physical condition during their pre-season, but because of very high competition, the club could not offer him prospects for playing time, and they therefore agreed to the loan transfer. Hyun-seok Hong's contract with Mainz runs until 2028.

FC Midtjylland is reportedly close to signing 27-year-old South Korean attacking midfielder Hyun-seok Hong from Mainz, where he has been under contract since August 2024. The South Korea international has 16 caps for his country and a contract with the German club until 2028. His current market value is €2.50m, according to Transfermarkt. Mainz originally signed him for a fee reported to be €4.0 million. Hertha BSC has also been mentioned in connection with the player.
