16-year-old Norwich winger Ajay Tavares, an English youth international, who made his senior debut in a July pre-season friendly against Dutch team Volendam, has been pursued by some of Europe's top clubs. In addition to interest from Bundesliga giants RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich are rivalling Barcelona for the player. Despite this, the Spanish giants are still expected to sign the youngster. The reported plan is for Tavares, who has a Portuguese passport that allows him to move abroad, to begin with Barcelona's Under-19s before progressing to Barcelona B and then a future loan move. He has made 7 appearances in the U18 Premier League this season and has 4 caps for the England U17 team.
