It is reported that Bayern Munich are rivalling Barcelona to sign 16-year-old English-Portuguese Norwich winger Ajay Tavares. The highly-rated player has also been wanted by Bundesliga clubs RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund. Despite interest from some of Europe's top clubs, Barcelona are still expected to sign him. It is reported that Tavares, who has a Portuguese passport allowing him to move abroad, is moving to the Nou Camp, where the plan is for him to play for their Under-19s, followed by a move to Barcelona B and a future loan. Tavares has been capped four times for the England U17 team. In the 2025/2026 U18 Premier League season, he has made seven appearances.
