FC Augsburg has confirmed that Luxembourg international Aiman Dardari, 21, will join third-division club Rot-Weiss Essen on a one-year loan. The attacker was on loan at SpVgg Greuther Fürth for the second half of the previous season, during which he made six appearances and registered one assist. Before that loan, Dardari made three Bundesliga appearances for Augsburg and scored six goals in eight games for the club's reserve team in the Regionalliga Bayern. FCA sporting director Benni Weber stated that it is crucial for Dardari to get as much playing time as possible in the upcoming season. Weber added that the move to Essen provides an opportunity for him to develop at a good level. He also mentioned that the club will closely monitor Dardari's progress and wished him a successful, injury-free season. Dardari's contract with Augsburg is valid until 2029.
