Ahmed Touba, a 28-year-old Algerian international, rejected offers from FC Utrecht, as well as NEC Nijmegen, to ensure a return to France. The defender, who was also of interest to Monza in Italy, is reported to be joining Le Havre on a one-season loan without an option to buy, pending a medical. Touba has earned 15 caps and scored one goal for Algeria. He joined his current club Panathinaikos in July 2025, with his contract running until 2028, and has a current market value of €2.50m.
