Fanatik has reported that Eyüpspor announced on their official website the addition of Ahmed Abdullahi to their squad. The announcement confirmed that the club has signed a contract with the player. In the statement, the club wished him a successful career in their purple-yellow jersey and welcomed him to their community. The duration of the contract was not disclosed.

Turkish side Eyüpspor are reportedly the primary contender to sign Sunderland's Nigerian striker, Ahmed Abdullahi, as Sunderland is seeking to transfer the 22-year-old after a period affected by injuries since his arrival from Belgian side Gent in August 2024. A deal for Abdullahi is nearing completion. It is said that talks are ongoing, although it is not yet clear whether the transfer would be a loan or a permanent move, or what the potential fee might be. His contract at Sunderland is due to expire in June 2028. Abdullahi has been capped for Nigeria at U20 level, scoring two goals in seven appearances, and has a current market value of €800k according to Transfermarkt.
