Agustín Rogel Transfer from Hertha BSC to Nacional
Hertha BSC has reached a verbal agreement with the Uruguayan club Nacional for the transfer of 28-year-old Agustín Rogel. The arrangement requires Rogel to terminate his contract with the German second-division side, allowing him to return to his homeland. Hertha will not collect a transfer fee but will receive a ten percent share of any future sale. By making this move, the centre-back opted against a transfer to CA Platense, which had been a possibility a few days prior. The deal is not yet finalized, which caused an issue when Nacional prematurely announced the signing on Instagram on Saturday, later apologizing for the error. The player's agent, Ariel Krasouski, stated on the show 'Punto penal' that he believes Nacional thought the player's situation in Germany had already been settled, leading to some confusion. Krasouski confirmed that while an agreement with Nacional is in place, the necessary signatures are still missing. Rogel, who has one cap for Uruguay, joined Hertha in August 2022 and has made one appearance in the 2. Bundesliga this season. His contract was due to expire in June 2026, and he has a current Transfermarkt market value of €500k.
