Agustín Martegani, a 26-year-old Argentine-Italian midfielder, has been presented as a new signing for Independiente Medellín of Colombia. It was reported that he was not in coach Rodolfo Arruabarrena's plans at Boca Juniors. The midfielder joins the Colombian club on a one-year loan that includes a purchase option valued at 1.8 million dollars. The deal also reportedly includes a loan fee of approximately $50,000 (€48,000). According to Transfermarkt, the player's current market value is €275k. His most recent permanent transfer was from San Lorenzo to Boca Juniors in July 2024 for a fee of €2.4 million. A loan move to Newell's Old Boys reportedly collapsed in February 2026. Independiente Medellín confirmed that Martegani has already joined the professional squad for training. The player explained that he chose the club because he wanted to take on the challenge and fight for important things, adding that he is motivated by the high demands and knows about the greatness of the club.
