Mihai Rotaru has stated he wants to bring Rapid's 18-year-old Romanian goalkeeper, Adrian Briciu, to Universitatea Craiova. Briciu, who was developed at the FC Argeș academy and joined Rapid in 2024, has appeared in one match this season, a game in which he made an error. According to Fanatik, Rotaru acknowledged the mistake but described the player as an extremely talented goalkeeper with significant qualities. Rotaru stated that if Briciu is dissatisfied with his situation at Rapid and the club's methods, he is awaited at Universitatea Craiova. The goalkeeper has been capped once by Romania at the U16 level.
