Adam Mayor, a 21-year-old English midfielder from Millwall, is in advanced negotiations with Scottish Premiership club Hibernian regarding a permanent transfer. A move for the player, who is believed to be in the final 12 months of his contract, is nearing completion. The talks follow an initial plan by Millwall head coach Alex Neil to assess Mayor in pre-season. Cambridge United, where Mayor was on loan last season, were also keen to sign him permanently but Millwall rejected their approach. During his loan spell, he made 34 appearances in League One, scoring 3 goals and providing 3 assists. If the deal is finalised, Mayor will be the fourth player to join the Edinburgh club from the EFL this summer. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €500k.
