Abubacarr Sedi Kinteh Transfer from Tromsø to Manchester United
Manchester United's director of football, Jason Wilcox, has tasked club scouts with monitoring 19-year-old Tromso defender Abubacarr Sedi Kinteh, who joined the club in March 2025 and is under contract until the end of 2029. Wilcox has been impressed by the player, who has performed well in central defence for the Norwegian team and has been described as a valuable player from Gambia. Kinteh, who can also play at full-back, has attracted attention from a number of elite clubs in Europe. Manchester United are evaluating young defenders and are considering an approach for the once-capped Gambia international this summer. It is understood that Tromso is seeking a fee of approximately €5m (£4.4m, $6m) for Kinteh. It has also been reported that Chelsea has registered an interest, but United want to act quickly to avoid failing to sign the player.
