Winger Michel-Ange Balikwisha, who holds Belgian nationality, is reportedly one of three Celtic players being targeted by West Ham United. West Ham United are reshaping their squad after being relegated to the Championship. Balikwisha is a 25-year-old DR Congo international and has been capped five times. He joined Celtic last summer for a fee of approximately £5 million and has made 14 competitive appearances, but has not yet established himself.
His contract with the Scottish club is valid until June 2030. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €3.00m. There has been no official approach from West Ham or confirmation from either club, but there is speculation that Celtic might consider an offer close to the fee they paid for him. The initial claim that West Ham United were looking for players in Scotland originated from a report by Claret and Hugh, which cited a source with strong club connections.
