Nigerian striker Victor Olatunji, 26, has returned to European football, joining Belgian club SK Beveren on a one-year loan from Real Salt Lake of Major League Soccer. Before his move to MLS, Olatunji had a successful period in the Czech Republic with Slovan Liberec and Sparta Prague.

The management of the East Flanders club anticipates that the 193 cm tall forward will increase their physicality and productivity in the penalty area. Sporting director Bob Peeters stated that Olatunji provides the qualities they were looking to add to their attack, highlighting his combination of immense physical strength with speed and explosiveness. Peeters also praised the player's constant search for space behind the defense and his instincts for scoring goals. The sporting director also valued Olatunji's character shown during initial talks and his defensive work rate, noting that he works hard, presses intensely, and acts as the team's first defender. With his arrival, Beveren believes its squad is now complete for the upcoming autumn part of the season. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €2.00m.
