Isak Bjerkebo has consistently indicated that he enjoys being at Sirius and that it would take something extraordinary for him to want to leave. Ultimately, nothing came that was valued highly enough, and according to Jonathan Ederström, Isak did not feel finished at Sirius.

A move for Sirius' Isak Bjerkebo to Sevilla has not gone through because the Spanish club was unable to sell Rubén Vargas. Sportbladet reported that Sevilla submitted a bid that the Uppsala club was close to accepting and that all preparations for the transfer had been made. The winger was intended to replace Vargas, who was very close to a move to Olympiakos. Bjerkebo was waiting for clearance to travel to Spain. However, Vargas' transfer did not proceed. According to Spanish media, he trained with the team on Tuesday. The move for Bjerkebo will not happen. Other clubs are interested in buying the player, but he might also stay, as Sevilla was his preferred club.

Isak Bjerkebo has commented on rumours that he might leave Sirius, with Sevilla mentioned as one of the interested clubs. Bjerkebo said a move is close, but it could also be that he stays, stating it could go either way. When asked if Sevilla is the closest club, he replied that there are many clubs. The player also said that the feeling is that Sevilla is a really big club, and mentioned that two years ago he played in Skövde and was last in Superettan and is now in this position.

Sirius' Swedish midfielder Isak Bjerkebo, 23, is on the list of both Sevilla and PSV Eindhoven ahead of the final days of the transfer window. Contacts have taken place, and a departure for the player could occur in the coming days. Bjerkebo has scored 13 goals and provided 5 assists in 18 appearances in the Allsvenskan this season. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €3.50m.
