Toulouse is a potential destination for Motherwell's Elijah Just, aged 26, following Berthel Askou’s move to France, but the club faces competition. Swansea City, an English Championship club, are also pursuing the New Zealand international and are trying to convince him to join. It is also reported that Celtic are interested in the playmaker. Motherwell would require a significant seven-figure bid to sell Just, who is entering the final year of his contract, although the club has an option to extend it for an additional 12 months.
In the 2025/2026 Scottish Premiership season, Just made 30 appearances, scoring 7 goals and providing 8 assists. He has 47 caps and 12 goals for New Zealand. His current market value, according to Transfermarkt, is €2.50m. Reports from July 2026 suggested Just would be available for a price significantly less than £5m, while a report from June 2026 suggested a fee would likely be more than £2m.
