Arthur Vermeeren is a target for Tottenham Hotspur to strengthen the team, provided they secure their survival in the Premier League. The club's newly appointed coach, Roberto De Zerbi, is reportedly pushing for the arrival of the 21-year-old Belgian midfielder. De Zerbi previously managed Vermeeren at Olympique Marseille, where the player is currently on loan from RB Leipzig; in the 2025/2026 Ligue 1 season, he has made 14 appearances and provided 1 assist. The manager had sidelined the Belgian, who has 11 caps for the Belgium U21 team, after a red card incident, but may still value his qualities, which were demonstrated during his good start at the French club.

Vermeeren's move is being considered as Marseille seems unlikely to exercise their €20 million purchase option, and he is not expected to be in RB Leipzig's plans upon his return, despite his contract running until June 2029. Galatasaray and Manchester United have also been linked with the player. His current market value is €22.00m, according to Transfermarkt. It is reported that Marseille paid a €3.0M loan fee for him in August 2025.
