Rotherham United interested in re-signing Wes Harding

The Millwall defender is the subject of interest from several clubs, with a potential transfer back to a former team suggested.

Millwall defender and Jamaican international Wes Harding is the subject of interest from several League One and Scottish Premiership clubs as the January transfer window approaches its end. The 29-year-old has made three appearances for his country and is not regularly selected at his club. He has made eight Championship appearances this season without a goal or assist, and only two of those appearances were starts. It has been suggested that he could potentially return to Rotherham United, where he spent three full seasons. Harding joined Millwall on a free transfer in the summer of 2023 after his contract with Rotherham expired; his current contract is valid until June 2026.

As Rotherham is attempting to avoid relegation in League One, Harding is considered a possible experienced player to help the team's stability. Although it is likely he will have offers from clubs in higher league positions, a return could be appealing due to his 140 appearances for the Millers, which is the most he has made for any club in his career. The defender's current market value on Transfermarkt is €900k.
