Roma's sporting director Massara is considering Al-Shabab's Yannick Carrasco, a 32-year-old Belgian international, as the club seeks an offensive winger for coach Gian Piero Gasperini. The search for a new attacker is taking place as Leon Bailey is expected to be sent back to Aston Villa and after the recent arrivals of Donyell Malen and Robinio Vaz. Other players being considered by Massara include Benjamin Dominguez of Bologna, Leo Sauer of Feyenoord, and Noa Lang of Napoli.
Carrasco has 78 caps and 11 goals for Belgium, and his contract with the Saudi club runs until June 2027. In the current Saudi Pro League season, he has made 7 appearances, scoring 2 goals and providing 3 assists. Nantes and Juventus have also recently been linked with the player. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €6.00m. Al-Shabab reportedly paid €15.0M for his transfer from Atlético Madrid in September 2023.
