Nottingham Forest are seeking a replacement for Arnaud Kalimuendo, who has transferred to Eintracht Frankfurt, and have placed 28-year-old Ukrainian centre-forward Artem Dovbyk of AS Roma on their shortlist. Dovbyk is considered an alternative alongside Youssef En-Nesyri of Fenerbahce, Mehdi Taremi of Olympiakos Piräus, and Jörgen Strand Larsen of Wolverhampton Wanderers. It is reported that the club is looking to sign an experienced player to aid in their fight for Premier League survival.
Dovbyk, who joined Roma in August 2024, has 40 caps and 11 goals for Ukraine and has scored once in three Serie A appearances this season. Several other Premier League clubs, including West Ham United, Everton and Leeds United, have also been linked with the striker. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €20.00m. In the summer of 2025, a bid of €43 million from Everton was reported, and Roma's asking price was cited as being between €27 million and €38 million.
