Nottingham Forest and Sporting Lisbon are reportedly interested in SV Werder Bremen's 19-year-old German-Ivorian centre-back, Karim Coulibaly. Both clubs are making inquiries about the defender. It is also said that there is interest from other clubs, which include Newcastle United and Arsenal. Coulibaly, who has one cap for Germany U21, recently changed agents, apparently to facilitate a transfer this summer.
While a fee of 45 million euros was previously mentioned for the left-footed player, Werder is now reportedly prepared to accept 30 million euros. His contract with the German club runs until 2029 and his current Transfermarkt market value is €28.00m. Last season, he made 27 appearances in the Bundesliga, scoring one goal. The German club desires a quick sale to reinvest a large part of the fee into new personnel, although the interest from either Lisbon or Nottingham is not yet considered to be very concrete.
