Francesco Acerbi, the 38-year-old Italian Centre-Back, will no longer be under contract with Inter from June 30, as the club and player had already agreed to part ways. According to transfer market expert Matteo Moretto, speaking on Fabrizio Romano's YouTube channel, two Italian clubs have approached the defender. One is Monza, which is interested in his experience following their promotion from Serie B, a move that would also be personally suitable for Acerbi as he could continue living in Milan. Genoa is the other club that has inquired.
A potential move to Saudi Arabia has become less likely, despite previous contacts between Acerbi and Simone Inzaghi, who had wanted to bring him to Al Hilal. Acerbi, who joined Inter in July 2023, made 18 appearances in Serie A during the 2025/2026 season. The defender has 34 caps and one goal for Italy and a current Transfermarkt market value of €2.00m.
