Brentford activated a one-year contract extension for Mathias Jensen until 2027 and added an option for another year. This was communicated to Jensen's representatives in mid-May.

Brentford wants to trigger an option in Mathias Jensen's contract, which will extend the 30-year-old Danish central midfielder's contract with the Premier League club until at least the summer of 2027. Jensen joined Brentford on 10/07/2019, has 31 caps, and has scored one goal for Denmark. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €12.00m. Brentford does not rule out negotiating an agreement that extends beyond next summer.
