Middlesbrough are attempting to sign Hamburg forward Ransford Königsdörffer before the transfer window closes on Monday, as the club seeks to strengthen its attack for a Premier League promotion bid. Middlesbrough feel they might be able to acquire the 24-year-old Ghana international, who has 6 caps for his country, for a reduced fee because he is in the final six months of his contract with the German club.
Königsdörffer, whose versatility across the front line is seen as a valuable asset, came to Middlesbrough's attention after his displays for Hamburg in the Bundesliga this season, where he has scored one goal in 18 appearances. The player joined Hamburg from Dynamo Dresden in July 2022 for a reported €1.2 million and, according to Transfermarkt, currently has a market value of €4.00m. OGC Nice had reportedly agreed a €6 million fee for the forward in August 2025 before the deal was cancelled.
