Michele Di Gregorio, a 29-year-old Italian goalkeeper who moved to Juventus from Monza in the summer of 2024, could make a return to his former club. It is reported that Juventus is so uncertain about the goalkeeper's future that they have decided to exclude him from the first league match of the season. According to Sky Sport, after two seasons and 84 appearances for the Turin-based team, his future appears to be away from the club. At present, however, there have been no formal negotiations between Juventus and Monza regarding a potential transfer.

Di Gregorio, who has not yet been capped for the Italian national team, has a contract with Juventus until June 2029 and a Transfermarkt market value of €10.00m. In addition to a potential Monza return, he has also been linked with clubs such as Torino, Valencia, and Olympique Marseille. Recent reports from August 2026 have mentioned a potential loan to Valencia with a conditional €15 million purchase obligation, while throughout the summer, Juventus's asking price was reportedly around €15 million.
