Manchester City among clubs monitoring Roma right-back Wesley

A transfer to England could become more possible for the Brazilian if a suitable offer arrives.

Several Premier League clubs are reportedly monitoring 22-year-old Brazilian right-back Wesley. Manchester City, Tottenham, and Newcastle had previously shown interest in the player before his move to Italy and continue to monitor him. Roma is currently satisfied with the Brazilian's performance and is under no pressure to sell. However, the manager's desire to reinforce the attack could lead to a sale, and if a suitable offer arrives, a transfer to England could become more possible.

Wesley, who has been capped 5 times for Brazil, joined Roma in July 2025 and is under contract until 2030. In the current Serie A season, he has made 17 appearances and scored 3 goals. His market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €35.00m. Roma reportedly set a minimum fee of €50 million for the player in January 2026. He was transferred from Flamengo in July 2025 for a reported €25 million base fee plus bonuses.
