Liverpool is very interested in Matias Fernandez-Pardo, a 21-year-old Belgian-Spanish centre-forward whom the club has been following closely since last summer. Liverpool faces considerable competition for the player. It is reported that Bayern Munich has also been tracking the LOSC Lille player for the same period. Borussia Dortmund and several other Premier League teams are also keen on the Belgian. In response to this interest, Lille has set a high asking price of €70 million to open transfer talks.

The player is said to be open to joining a bigger club but will not force a move out of respect for his current team. Fernandez-Pardo joined Lille in August 2024 from KAA Gent for a fee reported to be between €10 million and €11.5 million. Previous asking prices have varied; reports in January 2026 suggested a range of €35 million to €40 million, while conflicting figures around €30 million and €60 million were mentioned in May 2026. His current valuation on Transfermarkt is €30 million.
