The Argentine forward, who has two caps for his country, is considered available for transfer, a status reinforced by his recent exclusion from the starting eleven, which Lazio's sporting director described as a technical choice. Brazilian club Flamengo also remains interested in the player, despite the sporting director's denial of a reported €25 million offer from them. Castellanos joined Lazio in July 2023, is under contract until June 2028, and has a current market value of €25.00m, according to Transfermarkt. Recent reports from late 2025 indicate Lazio's asking price is between €30-40 million, while a reported offer of €22.5 million from Flamengo was deemed insufficient.
