Fiorentina highly appreciates Lecce's 21-year-old Portuguese defender Tiago Gabriel, who had an impressive season last year. He could soon become a viable option for the club, but they would first need to make a sale to consider an approach, with the future of Pongracic being a factor. Fiorentina faces competition for the player, as AC Milan made a financial offer for him last summer which was not considered by Lecce. Following the last transfer window, Gabriel renewed his contract with Lecce until 2031. Gabriel, who joined Lecce in January 2025, has 8 caps for Portugal's U21 team and has a current Transfermarkt market value of €15.00m. In addition to AC Milan, several other clubs including Juventus and Fulham have been linked with the defender.
