Yunus Musah, a 23-year-old United States international who has returned to Milan after a loan at Atalanta, has been proposed to Lazio as they seek to add a midfielder. It is possible the player's name was also discussed during talks between the two clubs for Mario Gila. Lazio is only considering the transfer under specific conditions and would prefer a loan.
The preferred structure would be a paid loan for about 2 million euros with a right or obligation to buy set at around 18 million euros. The purchase clause would reportedly be contingent on the club qualifying for European competitions next season. The potential transfer also depends on the tactical decisions of manager Gennaro Gattuso. Musah, who joined Milan in August 2023 for a reported €20M, has a contract with the club until 2028 and a current market value of €14.00m, according to Transfermarkt. In addition to Lazio, West Ham United and Leeds United have also been recently linked with the midfielder.
