Hull City reportedly attempted to sign Lassine Sinayoko, a 26-year-old Malian international centre-forward, and was prepared to offer €13 million, excluding bonuses. This amount would have been higher than the sum agreed in principle between Paris FC and Auxerre. That sum is believed to be a confidential fee between €6.5 million and €10 million, excluding bonuses. Sinayoko is said to be determined to join the Parisian club, despite the higher offer from Hull City.

The forward has 30 caps and 10 goals for Mali. He has a contract with Auxerre until June 2027. His current market value, according to Transfermarkt, is €10.00m. Recent reports from July 2026 indicated that Paris FC had offers of €7 million and €8 million rejected by Auxerre. Those same reports indicated that Auxerre was reportedly demanding €12 million.
