Bundesliga team TSG Hoffenheim is reportedly interested in Jovo Lukić, and interest has also been noted from German second-division club St. Pauli. FCSB and other foreign clubs have also been linked with the player.

Radu Constantea, the president of Universitatea Cluj, confirmed that the club received and analyzed two official offers for Lukić. He stated the club rejected them because the proposed sums were not what the club desired. Constantea denied that any official discussions had taken place with FCSB. He explained that Universitatea Cluj is not aiming to sell the forward. However, Constantea also stated that a transfer would be considered if it presented a good opportunity for the player and the club received what it considers the correct fee. The club's financial expectation for such a fee is at least €3 million.
