Gonçalo Ramos, a 25-year-old Portugal international in his first season at Milan, has expressed a wish to return to Benfica in the future. The forward said that while it is difficult to make promises, he hopes to go back one day. The Benfica academy product, who previously moved to PSG for €65 million, was later reported to have transferred to Milan for approximately €60 million.
He affirmed that he could only play for Benfica, explaining that because he lived his whole life at the club, playing for another team would feel like a betrayal he could not commit. Ramos has 31 caps and 14 goals for his country, is under contract with Milan until 2031, and has a current market value of €50M, according to Transfermarkt.
