Galatasaray has reached a total agreement with Arsenal captain Martin Ødegaard, a 27-year-old attacking midfielder. The Norwegian international's agent, Bjorn Kvarme, was reportedly in Istanbul last week to finalize the last details of the accord, which is now said to be complete on all contractual aspects.

The final step is reaching an agreement between the two clubs, as Galatasaray and Arsenal are currently discussing the formula of the transfer, with the Turkish club aiming to complete the deal for a figure under 40 million euros. Ødegaard's contract with the Premier League club is due to expire in June 2028, and his current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €65.00m. Reports from late 2025 and early 2026 cited an Arsenal asking price of £80 million (approx. €95 million). The player joined Arsenal from Real Madrid in August 2021 for a reported fee of €35 million, and FC Bayern München has also been linked with him.
