Emmanuel Fernandez might move from Rangers to Galatasaray during the current transfer window. The Turkish club has reportedly begun pursuing the 24-year-old Nigerian international, who also has English citizenship. The defender has drawn interest from several top teams in Europe after becoming an important player for Rangers since joining from Peterborough United last summer for a €2.9 million fee. His Nigerian teammate, Victor Osimhen, might have a role in a potential departure from Ibrox, as it is claimed he has given Galatasaray positive information about Fernandez.
The centre-back, who has 3 caps and 1 goal for Nigeria since making his international debut this year, is reportedly interested in joining the club in Istanbul and is prepared to accept an offer if an agreement is reached with Rangers. In the 2025/2026 season, Fernandez made 22 appearances and scored 5 goals in the Scottish Premiership. The Scottish club has set an asking price of approximately £17 million for Fernandez. His contract is valid until June 2029, and he has a current Transfermarkt market value of €18.00m. Negotiations are said to be ongoing. Galatasaray's transfer shortlist also includes Virgil van Dijk of Liverpool and Kim Min Jae of Bayern Munich.
