Fenerbahçe is now interested in signing Roma's 28-year-old Ukrainian forward Artem Dovbyk following unsuccessful negotiations for Alexander Sörloth. The club's attempt to sign Sörloth involved contacts between club president Sadettin Saran and the player since early December and ended after talks with Atletico Madrid were unsuccessful. Fenerbahçe has currently prioritized the transfer of Ademola Lookman and has adjusted its budget accordingly. The club's efforts to sign Dovbyk are dependent on the progress of the Lookman negotiations.
Dovbyk joined Roma in August 2024 and has scored 3 goals and provided 1 assist in 13 Serie A appearances this season. The forward has 40 caps and 11 goals for Ukraine, has a contract that runs until June 2029, and a current Transfermarkt market value of €20.00m. Napoli and West Ham United are among several other clubs that have also been associated with an interest in him. During the summer 2025 transfer window, Roma's asking price was reportedly between €30 million and €38 million. A bid of €43 million from Everton was also widely reported.
