According to Sky Sport in England, Everton has shown concrete interest in acquiring 31-year-old English and Irish winger Jacob Murphy from Newcastle. With only 12 months left on his contract at St James' Park, his situation could facilitate a sale during the current summer transfer window. Everton's management has made initial inquiries to assess his availability but has not yet submitted an official written offer. Murphy is on a list of several candidates to strengthen the team's attack, and the Liverpool club is also closely monitoring Jack Grealish at Manchester City.
Newcastle has already arranged to sign winger Bazou Toure for a fee of around £40 million but would need to find a replacement for Murphy if he were to depart. Murphy joined Newcastle in July 2017. His current market value is €12.00m, according to Transfermarkt. He has been capped six times for the England U21 team, scoring one goal.
