Erik Sviatchenko, who holds Danish and Ukrainian nationality, has left Houston Dynamo to transfer to Port FC in Bangkok, Thailand, after a 3.5-year period in the American MLS during which he played 96 matches. The 34-year-old centre-back revealed that he received advice from several former Superliga players, including Frans Putros, who previously played for Port FC from summer 2022 to summer 2025 and shared only positive experiences.

Sviatchenko completed a medical examination on Thursday after his arrival in Bangkok and later met with Michael Falkesgaard, who also plays for the club. He added that he will be living in the same place as Falkesgaard and former AaB player Lucas Andersen. The defender has 5 caps and 1 goal for Denmark. His contract with Port FC expires on June 30, 2027, and he has a current Transfermarkt market value of €500k.
