According to 'Sport Bild', Borussia Dortmund has informed Fábio Silva's agent that the club has completely ruled out a departure for the Portuguese centre-forward in the winter. The 23-year-old joined from Wolverhampton Wanderers last summer for 22.5 million euros. After missing the start of the season with adductor problems, he is now expected to compete for a position in the team.
It had recently become known that the player's representatives had contacted AS Roma, but the Giallorossi will have to wait until at least next summer to pursue a potential transfer. Silva's contract with Dortmund is valid until June 2030. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €28.00m. In the Bundesliga this season, he has made 6 appearances and provided 2 assists. The former Portugal U21 international, for whom he has 28 caps and 15 goals, has also been linked with Sevilla and FC Bayern München.
