Crystal Palace inquire about Charlie Cresswell but face rejection

Toulouse will not let the English central defender complete a transfer before next summer, having already rejected two offers.

Crystal Palace inquired about the conditions for a potential deal for Charlie Cresswell, but Toulouse responded that the 23-year-old English central defender will not be moving before next summer. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the French club has already rejected two offers for the player during the winter transfer window. The bids were reportedly from Brighton, estimated at €24 million including bonuses, and from Wolfsburg, valued at €25 million with add-ons.

Cresswell, who has 26 caps for England U21, is under contract with Toulouse until June 2028 and has a current Transfermarkt market value of €15.00m. Reports from January 2026 stated that multiple rejected bids from Wolfsburg, rising to the reported €25 million, with Toulouse's asking price consistently stated as at least €25 million and potentially as high as €30 million.
