Former Celtic striker Kelechi Iheanacho, who joined Turkish second-tier side Bursaspor on a free transfer last summer, could move to Fenerbahçe in January in a high-value transfer. The 30-year-old Nigerian international, who has also played for Leicester City and Sevilla, has been in excellent form, scoring 16 goals in 12 starts.

Bursaspor president Enes Celik admitted they could sell the player, describing him as a forward who scores goals from seemingly impossible situations. Celik said he would prefer the player to stay but acknowledged that the club would have to consider any exceptionally high offers. He added that while Iheanacho does not want to leave, he understands how football operates, and that any potential transfer fee would have to be a figure that makes it worthwhile for the club.

Iheanacho's contract with Bursaspor is due to expire in June 2029, and his market value is €2.8M, according to Transfermarkt. The forward has 59 caps and 16 goals for Nigeria.
