Mundo Deportivo reports that Brighton is interested in acquiring Gonzalo García, a 21-year-old Spanish centre-forward from Real Madrid. The report also indicates that other English clubs like Aston Villa, Leeds, Sunderland, and Wolves, as well as Betis from Spain, are showing interest.
Following strong performances at last summer's Club World Cup, manager Xabi Alonso kept the player with the first team, and both García and the club turned down offers at that time. His playing time has decreased since then, and there are rumors that Real Madrid would sell him for 20 million euros.
