Brighton & Hove Albion have identified TSG Hoffenheim's Ivorian winger Bazoumana Touré as a potential alternative signing as their transfer for Said El Mala has not progressed. The deal for El Mala is facing difficulties due to a disagreement over the fee, with 1. FC Köln reportedly demanding €50 million while Brighton's limit is €35 million. Brighton made an official inquiry for the 20-year-old Touré at the beginning of May.
Touré, who has also been linked with FC Bayern München and FC Liverpool, is considered a slightly more affordable option with an asking price of around €40 million. He joined Hoffenheim in February 2025 and his contract with the German club runs until June 2029. The winger has been capped five times by the Ivory Coast, scoring two goals, and has a current Transfermarkt market value of €35.00m.
