Premier League clubs Brentford and Newcastle have shown interest in Aleksandar Stankovic, a 20-year-old Serbian and Italian midfielder for Club Brugge. The player is reportedly not keen on a move to those teams and is said to be focused on either staying at Club Brugge or returning to his former club, Inter.

Inter holds a €23 million buy-back option, and if the club does not activate it, Stankovic is expected to remain in Brugge for another season. Stankovic has 6 caps and 1 goal for Serbia and joined Club Brugge from Inter in July 2025 for a fee reported to be between €9.5 million and €10 million. His current contract runs until 2029, and his market value is listed by Transfermarkt as €25.00m. While Inter's buy-back is fixed, reports from early 2026 suggested his value on the open market could be approximately €40 million.
