Arsenal scouts watched 18-year-old German defender Karim Coulibaly in Germany during Bundesliga matches this season. The club made an attempt to sign him during the winter transfer window, but Werder Brême rejected their approach. Bournemouth, Sunderland, and Burnley are also very interested in the defender, while Eintracht Frankfurt is monitoring his situation in Germany.
Werder Brême has set an asking price of 25-30 million euros for Coulibaly, who is valued at 20 million euros on Transfermarkt and is under contract until June 30, 2029. This season, Coulibaly has made 21 appearances in the Bundesliga, scoring one goal, and has been capped four times for the Germany U19 team. In February 2026, it was reported that Werder Bremen had rejected an offer for the player that significantly exceeded 20 million euros. Coulibaly initially joined the club's youth setup on a free transfer in July 2024.
