FC Arsenal is observing Min-jae Kim, whose situation at Bayern had recently improved to the point that a contract extension beyond 2028 was under discussion. Arsenal's scouting chief, Maurizio Micheli, has considered the 29-year-old South Korean defender for the Gunners. Micheli is considered to have discovered Kim, having signed him for SSC Neapel in 2022 for 19 million euros, a year before the player moved to Munich for 50 million euros. Arsenal is searching for another centre-back for the winter.

It is reported that Bayern could be open to a sale if the transfer offer is suitable, although they would require an immediate replacement. At present, there have been no concrete developments. The defender has 85 caps and 4 goals for South Korea and his current Transfermarkt market value is €20.00m. Several other clubs, including Milan, Tottenham Hotspur, and Aston Villa, have also recently been associated with the player.
