Andreas Skov Olsen is joining İstanbul Başakşehir from Wolfsburg on another loan deal. The 26-year-old Danish international winger has 40 caps and 8 goals for his country. During his time at Rangers, he started only seven Premiership matches and scored one goal, which led the club to decline their purchase option.
The move to Turkey includes an option for Başakşehir to make the transfer permanent for a fee that is reported to be around €5 million (£4.2 million). This price is said to be significantly lower than the €8.2 million to €10.5 million Rangers had been quoted for the player earlier in the year. A medical is currently in progress and the signing is expected to be finalized within 24 hours. Despite having been previously linked to Beşiktaş, Skov Olsen will now join their Istanbul rival. Transfermarkt lists his current market value as €6.00m, which is a notable decrease from the €14 million that Wolfsburg reportedly paid to sign him from Club Brugge in January 2025.
